This vintage wool blanket is midweight and has a lovely, dense structure. It has a predominantly deep brown main background, with green and cream stripes, with deep navy within the plaid squares. This blanket came to me with a portion already cut from one side, and we were able to rework what remained into a Field Jacket, which features a slight drop shoulder and tapered sleeve, with a straight silhouette, complete with lined flap front patch pockets (featuring the reverse side of the blanket for a pop of visual interest) and antique brass snaps. The under collar and inner facings have been created from the remnants of a 'Cat's Cradle' quilt top.
As this is a vintage blanket, it is possible it shows its age in the form of wear and/or discolorations. Any areas such as these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing it's history. I have done my best to capture these areas in the photos, but is possible that not all are photographed. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
