This top features fabric from a vintage Huipil, a garment commonly worn by indigenous women in Mexico and Central America. Huipil are frequently worn as long tunics or dresses, and are easily recognized due to the stunning and often intricate handwoven and colorfully embroidered fabric. This boxy top has cap sleeves, a scoop neck, and is light and breezy due to the lightweight cotton weave of the fabric.
As this piece is made from a vintage/antique textile that has lived a full life before becoming a piece of wearable art, it is possible it show its age in the form of some discolorations and wear to some of the fabrics. These areas are viewed not as defects, but merely giving it character and a nod to its past life. Please review the photos as returns are not accepted.
