I love a great many things in this life, and a few of those in particular are: the thrill of the hunt for the perfect vintage sweatshirt (QUITE the feat, if you've ever embarked on this journey yourself), actually finding said sweatshirt, vintage textiles (duh.), for the purpose of this particular soapbox, vintage hand crocheted doilies (with a specific love for words or images included), upcycling textiles to give them a new life, and BREAD.
So, as any sane person does, I decided to combine these things into pretty much the perfect new thing to love: the vintage BREAD sweatshirt. I've sourced some perfectly worn, faded, and drapey (not to thick or thin) sweatshirts, along with a few antique hand crocheted doilies that say exactly that: BREAD, and brought them together in perfect, comfy harmony. You better believe I kept one for myself, and I'm excited to have found a few more to share with you.
As this piece is made from vintage/antique textiles that have lived a full life before becoming a piece of wearable art, it is possible they show their age in the form of some discolorations and wear to some of the fabrics. These areas are viewed not as defects, but merely giving it character and a nod to its past life. Please review the photos as returns are not accepted.
