This Flora Jacket is made from a vintage wool blanket sourced from Ukraine. The edges, pockets, and sleeves are bound in a jewel-toned fabric of deep turquoise greens with a tiny raspberry toned dot that perfectly ties the binding together with the rich raspberry color of the blanket. The front placket and inner collar are constructed from a navy linen fabric sourced locally here in Vermont.
This style jacket features a scooped side hem, bound edges, plackets and inner collar, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and a stand up collar - a truly amazing fit!
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
