The Tulip Shawl Coat features a medium weight 100% cotton quilt that is both hand-pieced and hand quilted. The Shawl Coat is a straight-cut style with a shawl collar that is meant to fit a bit oversized with a boxy sleeve (similar sleeve to the Chore Coat) complete with two inside snack pockets.
This quilt shows its age in the form of fading and areas with fabric degradation/exposed batting that are consistent with having lived a well-loved life as a quilt before becoming a coat. There is an area of discoloration on the cream area above the tulips on the back - this is difficult to capture in photos but something to be aware of. These are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing it's history. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
Measurements (taken flat across) - Due to the open design of this coat, sizing is very flexible depending on how you would like it to fit:
Chest (armpit to armpit): 24"
Length (top of the shoulder to bottom hem): 23.5"
Sleeve (armpit to sleeve hem): 20" - the sleeves are intentionally longer to accommodate cuffing
Bicep: 7.5" flat across
