This vest features a midweight, densely batted quilt dating back to the mid-to-late 1800s that is hand-pieced and quilted, with a contrast sashing in an perfectly faded turkey red dot fabric. The front placket and armholes are a dusty sage 100% cotton petite leaf print fabric, with the pockets and outer edge bound in a jewel-toned blue dot fabric that highlights and bring richness to the original quilt's color palette.
As this is made from a vintage quilt that has lived a full life before becoming a piece of wearable art, it is possible it show it's age in the form of some discolorations and wear to the fabric. This quilt in particular has some mends, wear, and fabric discoloration throughout (it has been gently soaked and much has been lifted, but still shows its age throughout. These areas are viewed not as defects, but merely giving it character and a nod to it's past life. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
