This vest was made from a medium weight quilt that is densely batted, and a combination of hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted in a Baptist Fan pattern, with lovely fabrics throughout the pieced sunburst blocks. The edges are bound in a truly stunning deadstock indigo fabric from the early 1900s that I have been saving for a special piece, and the rounded handwarmer style pockets are bound in a dusty sage petite leaf print fabric. The sashing on this quilt is a very pale pink that was difficult to capture in photos, with the background on the blocks being white. This quilt was soaked several times, then dried in the sun, however some staining remains throughout as seen in the photos.
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
Measurements (taken flat across) - it is best to compare measurements to a coat/vest you already own - sizing is flexible due to the open nature of this style:

Shoulder to shoulder: 15"
