This cropped coat is made from a medium weight, densely batted quilt that both hand-pieced and quilted in a Charity Wheel pattern. This style jacket features a scooped side hem, contrast indigo floral binding and inner collar, and the front plackets were constructed out of the border fabric from a beautiful unfinished quilt top I had on hand (absolutely nothing goes to waste!), antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. The backing of this quilt is an incredible homespun fabric in a striped pattern, and is quite cozy. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and a stand up collar - a truly amazing fit!
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn or slightly discolored areas - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. I have done my best to capture these areas in the photos, but is possible that not all are photographed. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
