The Breezy Tank features an apron style bodice with adjustable straps that can be worn straight, crossed, or secured behind the neck. This piece was made using an unfinished quilt TOP in a 'Rocky Mountain Puzzle' pattern that was hand pieced (it does not have batting or backing); it is very soft with excellent drape. The bodice has been lined with 100% cotton un-dyed muslin fabric, with the gathered bottom portion of the top having been intentionally unlined to keep it breezy and warm weather appropriate.
As this is made from a vintage/antique quilt top that has lived a full life before becoming a piece of wearable art, it is possible it shows its age in the form of some discolorations and wear to some of the fabrics - this quilt top in particular has age fading and discoloration throughout. I love the character of all these fabrics, and the textures as well - if you are looking for a pristine quilt top, this is likely not the one for you, but if you view these characteristics are signs of its past life, this gal surely does not disappoint. These areas are viewed not as defects, but merely giving it character and a nod to the life this textile lived. Please review the photos as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
