This Flora Jacket is made from a mid-weight quilt that is hand-pieced and quilted in a traditional 'Goose Tracks' pattern, and features cherry red sashing, with perfectly faded blues, ginghams/plaids and florals pieced to create the pattern. The edges are bound in a stunning indigo reproduction fabric, and the inner collar is lined with a portion of an antique indigo and calico quilt top I have been saving for a special project, and this beautiful coat fit the bill! This style jacket features a scooped side hem, bound edges, plackets and inner collar, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and a stand up collar - a truly amazing fit!
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. As shown in the photos, there is some fabric degradation in areas, and a number of blocks have been patched/mended. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
