This dress features a unfinished quilt TOP that was hand-pieced in the late 1800s (it does not have batting or backing) in a Spider Web pattern. It is 100% cotton and has been left unlined to keep it breezy and warmer weather appropriate. It features a curved bodice that hits at mid-bust and gathered skirt complete with inseam side pockets, because - always!
As this is made from a vintage/antique quilt top that has lived a full life before becoming a piece of wearable art, it is possible it show it's age in the form of some discolorations and wear to some of the fabrics. These areas are viewed not as defects, but merely giving it character and a nod to it's past life. Please review the photos as returns are not accepted.
Measurements (sizing is flexible depending on desired fit):
Armpit to armpit: 22” flat across (double for circumference) - due to the style and the fact that the bust seam falls above full bust this can accommodate a wide range of sizes comfortably due to the gathering of the skirt portion
