This breezy elastic waist skirt features a stunning quilt top in a classic Nine Patch pattern. It was hand-pieced with an assortment of indigo, shirting, and calico fabrics, with a plaid saying. The skirt has inseam side pockets, and has been left unlined (please note that the original stitching can be seen on the inside) and find it to be more appropriate for warm weather wear.
As this is made from an antique quilt top that has lived a full life before becoming a piece of wearable art, it is possible it shows its age in the form of minor discolorations and wear to some of the fabrics These areas are viewed not as defects, but merely giving it character and a nod to its past life. For reference, I am 5'7" and my body measurements are: 35.5" bust, 27" waist, 37" hips.
