This Flora Jacket is made from a vintage blanket sourced from Ukraine. The front plackets and inner hood are a beautiful vintage woven cotton fabric in deep navy and heathered gray stripe with the pockets and outer edges bound in a deep plum tencel fabric.
This style jacket features a scooped side hem, bound edges, plackets and self-drafted hood, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and a stand up collar - a truly amazing fit!
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. The surface of this blanket has even, nubby texture throughout; it is very soft and has been de-pilled. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
For reference, I am 5'7" and my body measurements are: 34.5" bust, 27.5" waist, 37.5" hips.
