This vest is made from a lightweight quilt that is hand-pieced and quilted in classic lone star pattern, with sunny shades of faded yellow and orange. It has wear and fading throughout as pictured, and a patch in the center back over a particularly worn area, but the batting and backing are intact, and was added for structural integrity.
As this is an antique quilt, it is possible it shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history.
Measurements (taken flat across) - it is best to compare measurements to a coat/vest you already own - sizing is flexible due to the open nature of this style:
Chest (armpit to armpit): 21.5" (flexible given the open nature of this piece)
Length (top of the shoulder to bottom hem): 23.5”
