This Flora Jacket is made from a lightweight 100% cotton quilt that is both hand-pieced and quilted with deep plum, indigo, mourning black, and vibrant turkey red fabrics. The edges are bound in jewel-toned deep green with a lighter toned swirl leaf and salmon dot fabric which truly brings together the rich tones of the quilt. The inner collar and inner front plackets are constructed from a salvaged 100% cotton men’s oxford shirt in a light blue.
This style jacket features a straight side hem, bound edges, plackets and inner collar, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and a stand up collar - a truly amazing fit!
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
