The 'Jacob's Ladder' Chore Coat features a medium weight 100% cotton quilt that is both hand-pieced and quilted. The indigo, calico, and shirting fabrics are stunning, and the original maker chose a baptist fan pattern for the quilting (my favorite!). This modified Chore Coat features a slightly less exaggerated drop shoulder, slimmer arms, and a less boxy silhouette (depending on how you would like it to fit), complete with inseam side pockets and antique brass snaps.
As this is a vintage quilt, it is possible it shows it age in the form of wear and/or discolorations. There is some fabric thinning, fading, and wear to the indigo fabric used for the grid/base, particularly near the bottom front hem. These are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing it's history. I have done my best to capture these areas in the photos, but is possible that not all are photographed. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
Measurements (taken flat across) - this can accommodate a range of sizes depending on the fit you are looking for - it is best to measure a coat you already own:
Chest (armpit to armpit): 22.5"
Length (top of the shoulder to bottom hem): 28"
Sleeve (armpit to sleeve opening): 27.5
Arm length (against the collar to sleeve opening): 28"
