This Flora Jacket has been constructed from a lightweight quilt in a classic Log Cabin pattern, that is both hand-pieced and quilted. The sleeve openings feature the original quilt edge, while the outer body and pockets are bound in navy linen to allow the saturated pink, blue, and yellow of the quilt to truly be the focus. The inner collar and front plackets are constructed from pale blue fabrics that tie the piece together, without drawing attention away from the brilliant pattern of the quilt.
This style jacket features a rounded side hem, bound edges, plackets and inner collar, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and a stand up collar - a truly amazing fit!
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
