This Flora Jacket is made from a vintage Hudson Bay wool blanket in a stunning raspberry pink with a deeper signature stripe, and 4 Points. The hood is lined in deadstock fabric sent by our friends at Toad & Co, as well as the inner packets. The pockets and outer edge are bound in a deep indigo/purple linen, which add richness to the color palette of this piece.
This style jacket features a scooped side hem, bound edges, plackets and hood, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and a stand up collar - a truly amazing fit!
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. This blanket has a nubby texture throughout, but I do not think it detracts from the beauty, and this blanket in particular is not itchy at all.
