This Flora Jacket is made from a vintage wool blanket sourced from Ukraine. The edges, pockets, and sleeves are bound in a deep navy linen blend, with the inner collar a complementary ditsy dot vintage cotton fabric, with the true star of the coat being the antique woven coverlet front plackets. There was a narrow strip of this woven coverlet that I had been hoarding, but hadn’t found a use for up until now. We opened up the folded over edge, which gave us an extra inch or so of usable textile - just the right width for the front placket of this jacket!
This style jacket features a scooped side hem, bound edges, plackets and inner collar, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and a stand up collar - a truly amazing fit!
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
For reference, I am 5'7" and my body measurements are: 34.5" bust, 26.5" waist, 37" hips.

Chest (armpit to armpit): 23.5"
Length (top of the shoulder to bottom hem): 22.5”
Sleeve (armpit to sleeve hem): 18"
Arm length (against the collar to sleeve opening): 28"
