This Flora Jacket is made from a lightweight quilt that is hand pieced and quilted in a classic Grandmother's Flower Garden pattern. This was made by a customer’s great grandmother, and after creating a coat for her, there was just enough to create another jacket, and she was kind enough to allow me to keep the raining portion of this incredible family heirloom to create this jacket for you! The front plackets and inner collar are a homespun plaid cotton salvaged from the pieces backing of a quilt top from my collection, and the outer edges are bound in petite floral cotton fabric that ties in many of the colors from the quilt itself.
This style jacket features a rounded side hem, bound edges, plackets and inner collar, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and a stand up collar - a truly amazing fit!
As this jacket has been created with antique and vintage textiles it is possible the piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
For reference, I am 5'7" tall and my current measurements are 35.5" bust, 27.5" waist, 37.5" hips.

Chest (armpit to armpit): 24"
