This tank features an unfinished quilt TOP that was hand-pieced with chambray, gingham, and gingham fabrics. It is 100% cotton and has been left unlined to keep it breezy and warmer weather appropriate. This quilt top came to me having been already separated from its batting and backing (evidenced by all the quilting threads that were not fully removed, and clumps of cotton batting still attached) - it had previously been quilted, but possibly was deconstructed due to backing damage, or perhaps someone had the intention to re-quilt it to better suit their style, or to upcycle themselves. Without the quilt stitching, the faint pencil lines that were used as a guide during the quilting process can be seen on the fabric, even though it has been laundered and dried in the sun - I actually think this adds character, but something to be aware of.This sleeveless top has a scoop neck on one side, and a slightly deeper scoop neck on the other - either neckline can be worn in the front. It is perfect to wear on its own or layered over a long sleeve as a vest in the cooler months. Please note that this listing is for the TANK ONLY, the matching skirt can be purchased through a separate listing.
As this piece is made from a vintage/antique quilt top that has lived a full life before becoming a piece of wearable art, it is possible it shows its age in the form of some discolorations and wear to some of the fabrics. These areas are viewed not as defects, but merely giving it character and a nod to it's past life. Please review the photos as returns are not accepted.
