The 'Eight Point Star' Shawl Coat features a heavy weight 100% cotton quilt that is both hand-pieced and hand quilted. The Shawl Coat is a straight-cut style with a shawl collar that is meant to fit a bit oversized with a boxy sleeve (similar sleeve to the Chore Coat) complete with an inside snack pocket.
This quilt shows its age in the form of fading and some small discolored areas that are consistent with having lived a well-loved life as a quilt before becoming a coat. These are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing it's history. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
Measurements (taken flat across) - Due to the open design of this coat, sizing is very flexible depending on how you would like it to fit:
Chest (armpit to armpit): 22.5"
Length (top of the shoulder to bottom hem): 31"
Sleeve (armpit to sleeve hem): 20.25" (uncuffed - I left long intentionally so they could be cuffed to show the plaid backing fabric)
Bicep: 6.5"
