This vest is made from a lightweight quilt that is hand-pieced and quilted (in pink!) in classic Dresden Plate pattern, with additional decorative stitching around the plates. As per the photographs, there is extensive fading and fabric wear throughout, so if you are looking for a pristine piece, this isn't it, however if you love the pieces that show their lifetime of love and the character this age lends, you'd be hard-pressed to find better! There are gorgeous florals and feedsacks throughout, finished with a love petite purple gingham, and rounded, bound pockets.
As this is an antique quilt, it is possible it shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history.
Measurements (taken flat across) - it is best to compare measurements to a coat/vest you already own - sizing is flexible due to the open nature of this style:
Chest (armpit to armpit): 19.5" (flexible given the open nature of this piece)
Length (top of the shoulder to bottom hem): 21.5”
Outer shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 14.5"
