This dress features a unfinished quilt TOP that was hand-pieced (it does not have batting or backing) in a 'Dresden Plate' pattern, and features a wonderful assortment of feedsack florals, shirting, and mid-20th century fabrics. It is 100% cotton and has been left unlined to keep it breezy and warmer weather appropriate, while also looking cute layered over a long sleeve or turtleneck in the cooler months. This style dress has a curved bodice that hits at mid-bust with a gathered skirt, complete with inseam side pockets, because - always!
As this is made from a vintage/antique quilt top that has lived a full life before becoming a piece of wearable art, it is possible it shows its age in the form of some discolorations and wear to some of the fabrics. These areas are viewed not as defects, but merely giving it character and a nod to its past life. Please review the photos as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
Measurements (sizing is flexible depending on desired fit):
Armpit to armpit: 22” flat across (double for circumference) - As the gathered skirt portion starts above the fullest area of the bust, this style can accommodate a wide range of sizes comfortably.
Length (shoulder to hem): 35”
