This summer-weight quilt features many feedsack floral fabrics that have been worked into Dresden Plate blocks that are hand-stitches to the main fabric spaced in a grid pattern throughout the quilt. While the quilt is lightweight, it does have some structure to hold its shape and provide warmth. It has been reworked into a Field Jacket, which features a slight drop shoulder and tapered sleeve, with a straight silhouette, complete with lined front patch pockets and antique brass snaps.
As this is a vintage/antique quilt, it is possible it shows its age in the form of wear and/or discolorations. Any areas such as these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing it's history. These is some age fading and discoloration in areas, and this quilt was washed several times. I have done my best to capture these areas in the photos, but is possible that not all are photographed. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
For reference, I am 5'7" and my body measurements are: 34.5" bust, 27.5" waist, 37.5" hips.
Measurements (taken flat across) - this can accommodate a range of sizes depending on the fit you are looking for - it is best to measure a coat you already own:
Chest (armpit to armpit): 23.75"
Length (top of the shoulder to bottom hem): 29.5"
Shoulder to shoulder: 19"
Sleeve (armpit to sleeve opening): 19.5"
Arm length (against the collar to sleeve opening): 30"
