The Double Nine Patch Chore Coat features a lightweight 100% cotton quilt that is both hand-pieced and hand quilted. It is finely quilted giving it incredible depth, texture and structure. This piece features delicately faded and worn colored blocks against a creamy background. The Chore Coat features a straight, boxy silhouette, inseam side pockets, and antique brass snaps.
This quilt is fair vintage condition - the backing is structurally sound as is much of the base fabric, with lots of age, fabric wear and degradation to the colored contrast squares within the block. These are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing it's history. I have done my best to capture these areas in the photos, but is possible that not all are photographed. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
Measurements (taken flat across) - due to the slightly oversized fit, this can accommodate a range of sizes - it is best to measure a coat you already own:
Chest (armpit to armpit): 25"
Length (top of the shoulder to bottom hem): 32.5"
Sleeve (armpit to sleeve hem): 19"
Arm length (against the collar to sleeve opening): 29"
