This Flora Jacket is made from a midweight quilt that is hand-pieced and hand-tied in a Diamonds in a Square pattern, and features a wide range of beautiful, 1800s fabrics. This quilt was found locally at an auction I attended from someone's home in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. The edges are bound in a dusty sage green vine printed fabric, along with the pocket edges, inner collar, and front plackets. This style jacket features a scooped side hem, bound edges, plackets and inner collar, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and a stand up collar - a truly amazing fit!
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
