This dress features a unfinished quilt TOP that is hand-pieced (it does not have batting or backing) in a 'Nine Patch' pattern. It is 100% cotton and has been left unlined to keep it breezy and warmer weather appropriate. It features a curved bodice that hits at mid-bust and gathered skirt complete with inseam side pockets, because - always!
As this is made from a vintage/antique quilt top that has lived a full life before becoming a piece of wearable art, it is possible it show it's age in the form of some discolorations and wear to some of the fabrics - this quilt top in particular is is very good condition aside from a few small age discolorations, though they are pretty well hidden given the flow of the skirt. These areas are viewed not as defects, but merely giving it character and a nod to it's past life. Please review the photos as returns are not accepted.
Measurements (sizing is flexible depending on desired fit):
Armpit to armpit: 21” flat across (double for circumference) - due to the style and the fact that the bust seam falls above full bust this can accommodate a wide range of sizes comfortably due to the gathering of the skirt portion
Length (shoulder to hem): 35”
