This breezy elastic waist skirt features a truly stunning quilt top in a 'Chimney Sweep' pattern. It was meticulously hand-pieced with an array of indigo, calico, shirting, chambray, and plaid fabrics. The skirt has inseam side pockets, and has been left unlined (please note that the original stitching can be seen on the inside) and find it to be more appropriate for warm weather wear. Please note - the modeled photo is of the smaller size skirt from the same quilt top - this skirt can also be made smaller if need be.
As this is made from an antique quilt top that has lived a full life before becoming a piece of wearable art, it is possible it show it's age in the form of some discolorations and wear to some of the fabrics, along with repairs. These areas are viewed not as defects, but merely giving it character and a nod to it's past life. Please review the photos as returns are not accepted.
