This Flora Jacket is made from a vintage blanket sourced from a woman-owned business in Ukraine. The front plackets feature vintage wool shirting fabric found at a local estate sale, while the hood is lined in a silky tencel in dusty lavender (purchased locally at a woman-owned shop). The outer edges are bound in a woven navy and cream/black striped cotton.
This style jacket features a straight side hem, bound edges, plackets and self-drafted hood, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and a roomy hood - a truly amazing fit!
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
