This Flora Jacket is made from a vintage blanket sourced from a woman-owned business in Ukraine. This is the heavier weight side and very cozy, and the blanket itself has a lovely brushed look and texture to it. The front plackets feature a plaid woven cotton remnants from Toad&Co, with the inner collar and outer edges bound in a deep navy with blue and green petite florals.
This style jacket features a straight side hem, bound edges, contrast front plackets, a rounded stand up collar, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and a roomy hood - a truly amazing fit!
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
