This Flora Jacket is made from a midweight quilt that is hand-pieced and quilted in an Ocean Waves pattern. The quilting is so lovely, and has given this quilt the most perfect, crinkly texture! The edges are bound in rich indigo dot fabric, to allow the fabrics and colors of the quilt to truly be the focus. The inner hood and front plackets are constructed from salmon-toned bandana print fabric scraps shared with us by our friends at Toad &Co.
This style jacket features a rounded side hem, bound edges, plackets and self-drafted hood that is fully lined, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them, and they were kind enough to grant me permission to make finished coats available to you! The fit is oversized through the body with slimmer arms, and roomy pockets - a truly amazing fit!
It is possible this piece shows its age in places in the form of worn, slightly discolored areas, and/or mends - these are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing its history. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
