This dress features a unfinished quilt TOP that is machine pieced (it does not have batting or backing) in a 'Nine Patch' pattern. It is 100% cotton and has been left unlined to keep it breezy and warmer weather appropriate. It is also a turn around style, so essentially two dresses in one! It also features inseam side pockets, because - always!
As this is made from a vintage/antique quilt top that has lived a full life before becoming a piece of wearable art, it is possible it show it's age in the form of some discolorations and wear to some of the fabrics - this quilt top in particular is in quite good condition aside from the age discolorations - I have handwashed this gently and lifted as much as I could; it is difficult to capture the areas of discoloration but have tried my best to do so. These areas are viewed not as defects, but merely giving it character and a nod to it's past life. Please review the photos as returns are not accepted.
