The Chimney Sweep Chore Coat features a mid-weight 100% cotton quilt that is both hand-pieced and hand quilted. It features many beautiful burgundy, calico, indigo shirting and pink fabrics. The Chore Coat features a straight, boxy silhouette and two handwarmer pockets. The original maker embroidered their name in one of the blocks: Goldy Bailey.
This quilt is in overall very good condition aside from some sun fading - this is not viewed as a flaw, but rather giving it character and showing it's history. I have done my best to capture these areas in the photos, but is possible that not all are photographed. Please review all images as returns are not accepted - no exceptions.
Measurements (taken flat across) - due to the slightly oversized fit, this can accommodate a range of sizes - it is best to measure a coat you already own:
Chest (armpit to armpit): 23.5"
Length (top of the shoulder to bottom hem): 22”
Sleeve (armpit to sleeve hem): 19.5" (left intentionally a bit long for cuffing)
Arm length (against the collar to sleeve opening): 29.5”
